Sport
Pony Canada Informal Meeting: Alana Longman will be attending
the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of Canada AGM in Leduc, Alberta during
the weekend of October 22,23,24 and would like to meet with people
that are interested in Sport Pony Canada. For more information please
contact Alana at alanario@hotmail.com
or 306-656-2051.
Sport
Pony Booth at Spruce Meadows Masters 2005: Would you be
interested in having a Sport Pony booth in the Equifair tradeshow
and participating in the demos during the Masters at Spruce Meadows
in September 2005. The cost for a booth is $1500. The opportunity
to promote ponies and our organization would be incredible. Over
50,000 people from around the world attend the event and it is located
at a world class venue. It is possible that we could share the booth
with another Pony organization. We would require financial commitment
from pony breeders and trainers interested in advertising at the
booth. The potential cost could be $100/farm or trainer. People
would be required to work the booth and ponies would be needed for
the display stall. People and trained ponies would also be required
to participate in the demonstrations. If this interests you and
you’d like to become involved please contact us as we will
need very definite commitments to proceed.
Private
Treaty Sale 2005 - Dates and location have been determined:
to be held in September, 2005, during the Spruce Meadows Masters
in Calgary, at a location in close proximity to Spruce Meadows.
Two locations have been suggested: Hebsen arena in Okotoks and Millarville
Racetrack at Millarville. The facilities have indoor arenas and
plenty of stabling. The barns could be open for public viewing between
noon and 9pm with the showcase between 6pm and 9pm. The possible
time frame could be the Thursday to Saturday or Friday to Saturday
during the Spruce Meadows Masters weekend. The idea to have the
Sale in conjunction with the Masters was suggested as there is a
very large population of potential customers coming to Spruce Meadows
that week. This would be a great opportunity for selling trained
sport ponies. Comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
